This past weekend marked the opening for Keeneland’s spring meet. The weather was much colder than I wanted. But it was a great time for a nice hot bowl of Kentucky Beer Cheese Soup. This week promises to be much better in the weather department to go to Keeneland and tailgate. Please check out the recipes on our website to try for your family and friends. If you are in a hurry, just grab an 8oz container at your local grocery and a bag of pretzels and that will do the trick. I know we are all anxiously awaiting spring! This time of year is one of my favorites! Everyone starts to come out of winter’s hibernation. People are walking, running and biking. The smell of charcoal from grills is in the air. I personally am so excited to have friends over, grill out and sit on the deck. Before we know it summer will be here. I hope everyone has a chance to get out in the next couple of days and enjoy some sunshine.
