Where has the summer gone? The old saying, ” The days are long and the years are short”, becomes more true as I get older. I always start the summer with big plans, both personally and professionally. But daily life always seems to get in the way. It helps to look back and really think about what I have done over June and July. We have been to Florida to see the kids. We took a lake trip to Laurel and a lake trip to Nolin. We had a couples shower for Jacquie and Spencer. Which was a weekend full of family and friends! We have done a considerable amount of work on the back porch. And NO it is not done yet! But we are getting to enjoy it. We have also played tennis this summer. It has felt so good to be back on the court! Once I look back and take stock of what I have done, it is now time to focus on what I want to accomplish before Labor Day.
We have only been to our neighborhood pool 2 times this summer. With only 4 weeks until the pool closes for the season, I am hopeful to get up there to enjoy some warm afternoons with Kentucky Beer Cheese snacks and maybe some dinners at the pool. I am hoping to get the ceiling done on our porch. This is crucial for the electric and other items to be finished. We are hoping to get down to the lake a couple more times and enjoy the peacefullnes of the water! We love taking an evening boat ride with some appetizers and cocktails. What kinds of things are on your to do list for the end of summer? Maybe it’s a quick trip to the beach, or an amusement park. Maybe it’s to visit grandparents or grandchildren. Whatever it may be, be present in the moment. Treasure each day and appreciate the season. Soon it will be Fall, which has its own great qualities. But until then, lets cherish the hot days, the fireflies at night and the beauty of all the flowers in bloom.
There is a lot going on here at Kentucky Beer Cheese. We are working hard to lower our costs so we can pass that on to our customers. We have a couple new products that are on the cusp of being introduced. We are also working on marketing and sales. Kentucky Beer Cheese is gearing up for a big growth spurt!
Sometimes it’s hard to live in the here and now when as a company you are always having to plan for time periods that are 3 to 6 months in the future. So, even though we are planning for tailgate and holiday season, I am focusing on enjoying these last few weeks of summer. But I definitely won’t miss the mosquito bites once fall comes!
